Truck Mounted Screw Compressor

Overview

A truck-mounted compressor eliminates the need for a separate trailer. The compressor sits on the truck bed and can be either driven by the truck engine through a PTO shaft or by its own diesel engine mounted alongside.

This configuration is common in utility fleets — gas pipeline maintenance, water main repair, and telecommunications cable blowing. The truck carries both the compressor and the tools.

Mounting options include permanent bolting to a flatbed, or a skid-mounted unit that can be lifted on and off with a crane. The skid option allows the compressor to be placed on the ground at the work site.

Design Highlights

PTO Drive Option

When powered by the truck PTO, there is no separate engine to maintain. Fuel comes from the truck's tank.

Crane-Removable Skid

The skid-mounted version has lifting points. A small crane can place it on the ground, freeing the truck for other tasks.

Integrated Aftercooler

Compressed air passes through a large aftercooler before reaching the outlets. This removes moisture and reduces downstream condensation.
