CNG Natural Gas Compressor

Product Description

Natural gas from the city pipeline arrives at 0.05 to 5 bar. Vehicles need it at 200 bar to fill their tanks. This compressor bridges that gap using three or four stages of compression with intercooling between each stage.

The machine uses reciprocating piston technology with gas-tight packing rings. All gas-wetted parts are rated for methane service. The crankcase is isolated from the gas path to prevent oil migration.

CNG stations range from small daughter stations (100 Nm³/h) that fuel a small fleet, to large public stations (5000+ Nm³/h) serving hundreds of vehicles per day. The compressor is sized to match the station throughput.

Gas-Tight Packing

Multi-ring packing sets on each piston rod seal the gas inside the cylinder. A vent between packing rings routes any leakage to a safe location.

Automatic Sequencing

The controller manages buffer storage vessels and dispensers. It starts and stops compressor stages based on storage pressure and vehicle demand.

Methane Detection

Gas detectors inside the enclosure trigger alarms and shut down the compressor if methane concentration exceeds 20% of LEL (lower explosive limit).
