Standard portable compressors deliver 7–14 bar. Certain drilling methods need much more. Down-the-hole (DTH) hammer drills require 25–35 bar to drive the hammer at the bottom of the borehole.

This compressor uses a two-stage screw air end to reach these pressures. A large Cummins engine provides the power — typically 250 to 450 kW depending on the CFM rating.

The machine sits on a heavy-duty trailer rated for the weight. Dual axles with air brakes are standard. On-site, outrigger stabilizers keep the unit level during drilling operations.

Technical Advantages

Two-Stage Screw Air End

To reach 25–35 bar, the air passes through two compression stages with intercooling. This keeps discharge temperature manageable.

Altitude Compensation

A turbocharger on the diesel engine compensates for thin air at altitude. The machine maintains rated output up to 4500m with a turbocharged engine.

Hydraulic Outriggers

Four hydraulic stabilizer legs extend from the trailer frame. They level the machine on uneven ground and keep it steady during drill rig operation.
